Day Trading Online - How to Avoid being Scammed
Newbie day traders may be easily taken in by the exaggerated claims of companies who are in the business of making a profit from day-trading related products and services. These 'so called' service providers are not out to help you profit from day trading, instead, they are interested in making a profit from your ignorance! You should beware of the following when it comes to day trading online and in real time.
Watch out for advertising that uses phrases like: "Trade with No Risk!", "Proven System!", "Guaranteed Six Figure Income Trading at Home!" and similar forms of over-kill. There is inherent risk involved in all forms of day trading online and in real time and nobody can change that - no matter how much money you hand over.
Companies may try to sell you day trading online or real time systems based on its track record or 'past results'. You should be aware that past performance is not a guarantee of a product's future success or that you will be as successful as 'hundreds' of others who have used it. Thus, this kind of claim doesn't hold any water. Even if a system yields results during good market performance it may not do the same in a poor market.
What about testimonials which swear by the results of the system? These may not necessarily be letters from real people. Many companies pay writers to engineer snippets of supposedly real commentary from fictitious users of day trading online software and similar products.
Can you trust the company? Since day trading online is a high risk form of trade should you just trust anybody to provide help and guidance? Of course not - like any other business decision you should take the time and do the work of researching the organization and their claims. Contact your state securities regulator and ask about any outstanding claims or disciplinary action.
What about so called 'hot stock tips' or inside scoops? You may stumble across this kind of information in day trading online news letters, chat rooms, or bulletin boards. Run (don't walk) away from this bogus information.
While there are some legitimate books and courses relating to day trading online many of those on offer are slanted in a particular direction - usually to sell products or services.
With the vast amount of unreliable information available about day trading online, you would be wise to approach all such claims with an eagle-eye and a clear head. There are no quick paths to success in day trading. Good old fashioned hard work is a much better approach.
